  • Do You Need a Safe?

The answer to this question is, for most people, a big YES! The National Fire Protection Association says that American homes have a 1 in 4 chance of experiencing a serious fire.  Further, the FBI states that one in 36 homes will be burglarized each year.

Valley Pro Locksmith sells and supports a full line of Amsec Burglary and Fire and Safes in different sizes and price ranges. We selected American Security (Amsec) due to their 60-year reputation for reliability and quality.  Our mission is to pass this top-notch security on to our customers. Whether you require a small sized safe for your home or installation of a commercial-grade vault, Valley Pro can help.

How to select the best safe for you or your business:

While most safes will give you decent protection from thieves and fire, like other products, you certainly get what you pay for. Commercial safes will give you excellent fire protection, and some are also built to also resist water damage. And some are even specially designed to thwart the efforts of highly skilled safe crackers. The safe you ultimately choose will depend on the of valuables that need to be protected. That way you’re not paying for what you don’t need.

A home safe is typically adequate for protecting documents such as birth and marriage certificates, wills, and property, but it’s probably not the right solution in areas that experience flooding.  Likewise, a safe designed for commercial use is over-kill for a home but great for a business that absolutely must protect and prevent damage to electronics and sensitive data.

Another factor to consider is capacity. Before you start pricing safes, gather all of your valuables together and see how much space is needed.  Be sure to allow for some future growth as you acquire more items in the future. Also, the weight and size of your safe is also a consideration, both in terms of transportation and the location in your home or business. Valley Pro Locksmith is happy to deliver and install all safes unless you are able to transport it yourself.  We’ll also be around for future support of your safe and answer any questions that arise.
